JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Responsibilities & Skills • Oversee the Installation of new servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Analyze information processing or computation needs and plan and design computer systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modelling and information engineering.
• Lead the technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
• Managing EMC Storage including Design and Implementation, LUN Allocation, CIFS / NFS allocation,
• Managing Cisco MDS and Brocade Switches
• In-depth Technical Knowledge on Converged and Hyper converged infrastructure (VBlock, Nutanix and HyperFlex)
• Expert in hypervisors Virtualization especially in VMware
• To manage deploying Server and Virtualization with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016 Technologies.
• Design & Implementation of Disaster Recovery Solution with VMware SRM.
• Good knowledge on Cloud technology - Private/public/Hybrid cloud & Cloud stacks
Storage Expertise - SAN / NAS ( EMC and NetApp)
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Windows 2008/2012R2/2016 Server including clustering technologies.
• Knowledge of VMware Site Recovery Manager
• Experience in Cisco UCS, HP Blades servers and Dell Clusters
Required Technical Qualifications: • A Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent.
• ITILV3 Certified.
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE/MCITP)
• Linux Certification (eg: RHCE) an added advantage
• EMC Professional Certification (eg: E20-547, E05-001)
• VMware Certification (eg: VCP 5, VSphere ICM V6)
• Minimum of 9 years in the field of IT system Administration.
• At least 5 years of experience in Virtualized Infrastructure with Cisco and VMware technologies
• Symantec/Veritas certification is added advantage
• Experience in VBlock/Hyper converged systems is an advantage
• Certification on VCE VBlock and Cisco UCS is a plus
• Experience to manage Tier 3 or higher Data Center systems
